First Ever Vein Grown Using Girl’s Own Adult Stem Cells

Swedish Scientists have successfully transplanted a vein into a 10 year old girl and saved her life.  The girl’s own adult stem cells were used from her bone marrow.

One year on, with no signs of rejection or any need for immune suppressing drugs this is a major breakthrough.  This success creates endless possibilities in the near future.
