Stem Cells Cure Baby Bubble Disease

Evangelina 3 years old

This week CBS News reported an incredible outcome for all participants who took part in a recent clinical trial for bubble disease.

Incredibly, all 23 patients, including Evangelina (pictured above and shown in the video below), have achieved restored immune systems since being enrolled in the revolutionary clinical trial that used adult stem cells that were taken from the bone marrow. Evangelina is now 3 years old and has a fully restored immune system.  She is now in perfect health according to doctors.

“It is a cure. I know it’s a cure. We’re living the cure,” beams the little girl’s mom.

Dr. Kohn from UCLA hopes to make the stem cell treatment available nationwide. He’s also testing the same method as a cure for sickle cell disease. Clinical trials for that treatment are now underway.
